The Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce has recently been involved in a series of meetings with local stakeholders and enthusiasts hoping to bring a developed network of mountain biking trails to the Cashiers Area. Modeled after similar trail systems in other parts of the region and Jackson County, including Fire Mountain Trails in Cherokee and WCU Trail systems in Cullowhee, resources are being gathered to determine possibilities to implement similar trail networks in the Cashiers area. Such trails would draw additional recognition to the area for its natural beauty and recreational variety and contribute to economic growth.
