Projects & Partnerships
Part of our work is ensuring the work done by others is supported, encouraged and profitable. We take this responsibility seriously, and hope that all our Members and the members of the Cashiers area community at large succeed in their work and enjoy a quality life in our mountain communities. The Chamber has developed and/or supports a number of community projects and continues to look for partnership opportunities to advocate for area business, provide information for the community and serve as a conduit for building destination awareness and responsible growth.
Travel & Tourism
The Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce is contracted by the Jackson County Tourism & Development Authority to operate the county's Visitor Information Center in Cashiers. The Chamber's executive director serves as an ex-officio member of the JCTDA board and works closely with its director on destination branding and tourism management initiatives. With tourism as the area's number one industry, we work to promote the Cashiers Area destination brand and growing related businesses, while preserving the village character and appeal of a leisure experience in our mountain communities.

Tour de Cashiers
We have proudly supported the Annual Tour de Cashiers Mountain Cycling Experience since its debut in 1992. While Chamber Staff does not manage event operations given its growth over the years- we continue to advocate for festivities and raise sponsorship support. Since it’s 11-mile introduction over 25 years ago, the Tour has grown and attracts cycling enthusiasts and families looking to experience our scenic mountain byways, village community and natural landscapes through a variety of recreational options. www.TourdeCashiers.com
The Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to support the Village Ramble Pathways System that connects pedestrians to local restaurants, businesses and other venues. The in-town pathway network is mapped in our Chamber’s annual Shopping & Dining Guide for easy navigation and we proudly support efforts to expand, maintain and continue growing the pathways each year in coordination with our Pedestrian Mobility & Safety Strategic Initiative.
Pictorial History Reprint
In 1994, the Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce published “Cashiers Area: Yesterday, Today & Forever” a beloved publication highlighting our cherished mountain region. The Chamber has since partnered with local experts, writers and photographers to announce plans for a reprint of the renowned publication with an eleven-page full color addition.
