Partnerships

Part of our work is ensuring the work done by others is supported, encouraged and profitable. We take this responsibility seriously, and hope that all our Members and the members of the Cashiers area community at large succeed in their work and enjoy a quality life in our mountain communities. The Chamber has developed and/or supports a number of community projects and continues to look for partnership opportunities to advocate for area business, provide information for the community and serve as a conduit for building destination awareness and responsible growth.

Travel & Tourism

The Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce is contracted by the Jackson County Tourism & Development Authority to operate the county's Visitor Information Center in Cashiers. The Chamber's executive director serves as an ex-officio member of the JCTDA board and works closely with its director on destination branding and tourism management initiatives. With tourism as the area's number one industry, we work to promote the Cashiers Area destination brand and growing related businesses, while preserving the village character and appeal of a leisure experience in our mountain communities.

Area Legacy Fund

Cashiers Area Legacy Fund, Inc., is as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving as an educational and charitable foundation to finance and endow public works programs and projects in the communities of Cashiers, Glenville, Sapphire and Lake Toxaway. The fund uses a grant application process designed to specifically support responsible growth and preservation in the form of sidewalk construction subsidies, beautification projects, leadership programming and more. www.CashiersAreaLegacyFund.org

Cashiers Planning Council

The Cashiers Planning Council is a volunteer board of residents appointed by the County Commission to review and make recommendations on the Cashiers Commercial Area Land Development Ordinance and ensure measured growth. With the staff support of the county's Planning Department, the board holds monthly meetings to address issues of jurisdiction relating to development. Tour de Cashiers

We have proudly supported the Annual Tour de Cashiers Mountain Cycling Experience since its debut in 1992. Today, Peak Racing Events (Atlanta, GA) manages event operations and the Chamber continues to advocate for festivities including one of three cycling routes or a family 5K run and raise sponsorship support in the community. The Tour attracts enthusiasts and families looking to experience our scenic mountain byways, village community and natural landscapes through a variety of recreational options. www.TourdeCashiers.com
