    The Cashiers Area Visitor Center is located in the offices of the Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce. Stop in for information on where to stay, what to do, and what to see in our beautiful region of Western North Carolina.

    Information is primarily available for Cashiers, Glenville, Lake Toxaway, and Sapphire, but there is also information on events and points of interest for Cullowhee, Highlands, Sylva and Tuckaseegee, as well.

    GORGES STATE PARK:
    Located in Sapphire, NC, Gorges State Park is 10,000 acres of the Jocassee Gorges in Transylvania County that have been placed in public ownership to be preserved for future generations of North Carolinians. Currently, Gorges encompasses nearly 7,500 acres and is the only state park west of Asheville.Plunging waterfalls, rugged river gorges, sheer rock walls and one of the greatest concentrations of rare and unique species in the eastern United States are found within Gorges State Park.     THE VILLAGE GREEN:
    The Village Green is a 12.5 acre park located in the heart of Cashiers, North Carolina, at the crossroads of Highway 64 and Highway 107. Stroll the paths of the park around grassy lawns, along wetlands and through the forest glade. Watch children play on the on the open-air playground. Enjoy a picnic lunch with friends.     There is no "on the street" parking in downtown Cashiers, but most of the businesses in the greater Cashiers area offer on-site parking lots.

    Additional public parking is available in the following locations:
