The Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce hosted Jackson County Manager Don Adams as featured speaker for the 2018 Legislative Update. Sponsored by Landmark Realty Group, this annual luncheon was held on May 30th at Mountaintop Golf & Lake Club. The presentation was one in a series of Chamber-organized reports by the area’s federal, state and local elected officials.
The Cashiers Area is poised for new business investment and expansion given the recent funding of the Horsepasture Wastewater Treatment Project and a year-round tourism trend. Adams spoke on key economic drivers and the County’s Cashiers Small Area Plan in progress, including a sidewalk initiative, and other government activities which will significantly impact economic and community development in the future.
