The 27th annual Tour de Cashiers Mountain Cycling Event rolls through these mountains on Saturday, September 7, 2019 beginning at 8:00 A.M. from The Cashiers/Glenville Recreation Center on Frank Allen Road. Riders from across the South and beyond make the pilgrimage to Cashiers for this annual event, which has earned a reputation as one of the premier events in the southeast. The fresh mountain air, incredible mountain scenery and rush of adrenaline afforded by the more than 10,000 feet of elevation change, make this race a favorite.

More than 300 cyclists dedicate their day to the challenge of one of several routes: Quarter-Century (25 miles), Metric (62 miles), Century (100 miles). There is a challenging course for every rider. For those who prefer a brisk morning run there will also be the second annual 5k race, which will run out and back from the Recreation Center.

Peak Racing Events have once again partnered to direct this event, and they will be providing operational support throughout. The Mountain Cycling Event promises a weekend of enjoyable activities for riders, runners and their families.
Joining them will be community volunteers and regional fire departments, rescue squads, and local law enforcement agencies who work tirelessly to ensure the safety and comfort of the riders. Cashiers is proud of this annual event and many join forces to make certain that it is one of the safest, most well organized events in the sport.
