Governor Roy Cooper announced a new COVID - 19 County Alert System to pinpoint counties with higher levels of viral spread and offer specific recommendations to bring numbers down across the state.  This System will offer local leaders another tool to understand how their county is faring and to make decisions about actions to slow the spread of COVID - 19.  The map will be updated every four weeks.

 

November 17, health officials reported the state has seen a total of 317,495 confirmed cases of the virus, with 3,288 new cases reported in the past 24 hours.

 

The state's virus-related death-toll stands at 4,852, and there are 1,501 people currently hospitalized with coronavirus.

 

North Carolina will remain in PHASE 3 until at least December 4.
