Spring is in the air! The trees are greening and the flowers are blooming across the Cashiers Valley turning area vistas into beautiful scenic photo opportunities. Iconic Whiteside Mountain offers a 45-minute hike with perhaps the best views on the Plateau. The trailhead is located half way between Cashiers and Highlands on US Highway 64 West. Watch for signs directing visitors to overlook parking located past the back entrance of Wildcat Country Club. Park at the Forest Service lot and enjoy a stroll up the trail to the expansive, granite faced overlook.
