Come join us for the second annual Rotary Club of Highlands/Twilight Rock n Roll 5K. Fun for the whole family,strollers welcome, walkers welcome, yet will be challenging for experienced runners. Includes t- shirt for 1st 100 participants. Glow sticks for the kids. Everyone crossing the finish line gets a beer from Ugly Dog Pub.
There will be a music concert during and after the race 6-10 PM. Awards presented to overall top male and female finisher and top 3 finishers in each 10yr age division. Kids under 10 run for free. This is the premier 5k event in beautiful Highlands NC. Come race and spend the weekend in our beautiful town. The Village Square Arts and Crafts show will also be in the park from 10-5. Please come early and take part in the Craft fair.
Race is on August 23rd starting at 6PM at the Kelsey Hutchinson Park located at 224 Fifth Street. The course is undulating, beginners or walkers will find it friendly, yet the faster runners will be challenged. Registration and check-in will start at 4PM. Please allow enough time to get checked in. Parking will be available around the park. Bring chairs, coolers, refreshments, blankets to join us for the evening music, starting around 8PM, it is going to be a blast!!! Glow sticks for the kids. Rarely above 80 degrees in summer. Always cool in the evening. This is your opportunity to come to "cool" Highlands NC and run on the plateau. $25.00. Price increase to $30.00 on July 23rd. Price on day of the race is $35.00.
