Have you seen them? In May, the Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce along with Jackson County Tourism Development Authority purchased a total of seven new brochure displays for the Cashiers area. The new displays, located at the Cashiers Farmers Market, Buck's Coffee Café, Ingles Supermarket, The Village Green, Cashiers BP Gas Station, Cashiers Village Shops and Signal Ridge Marina in Glenville help fulfill the Chamber's mission as an Advocate for business, Information source for the community and conduit for building destination awareness and responsible growth in Cashiers, North Carolina and surrounding mountain communities. An eighth display resides at the Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center on the covered front porch for 24-hour access to area information.
In addition to distributing guides and maps on a regular basis to area accommodations, communities & clubs, Cashiers, NC Post Office, Albert Carlton Community Library and others, chamber staff are responsible for restocking each new display on a weekly basis. The three-tiered displays are weatherproof and house visitor and resident information on shopping, dining, waterfall and trail maps, business directory and more.
