Summer reunions include not only making memories with family and friends but also reconnecting with the splendor of nature in the mountains of Western North Carolina.  Dramatic waterfalls, enchanting forest scenery, and fascinating wildlife captivate those new, as well as those returning, to the Cashiers-Highlands Plateau.  The destination’s high elevation ecology is home to numerous and many rare species of native flora and fauna.

And, as always, the Plateau’s cool summer breezes offer a welcome embrace whether alongside a babbling brook, around a firepit or in front of a striking mountain view.  We hope you enjoy your stay, be it joyfully socializing or in quiet solitude for a day or a lifetime.  For more information, contact the Cashiers Area Chamber and Visitor Center at 202 US 64 West, or 828-743-5191.
